MALUKU UTARA - Kesenian Tari
TARIAN GUMATERE,
Dimaksudkan untuk meminta petunjuk atas suatu persoalan ataupun fenomena alam yang sedang terjadi. Tarian ini dibawakan oleh 30 orang penari pria dan wanita. Penari pria menggunakan tombak dan pedang sedangkan penari wanita menggunakan lenso. Yang unik dari tarian ini adalah salah seorang penari akan menggunakan kain hitam, nyiru dan lilin untuk ritual meminta petunjuk atas suatu kejadian. Gumatere merupakan tarian tradisional rakyat Morotai.
